Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question about selling

To list your property, simply creating an account as a seller or fill out our Property Listing Request Form or contact our support team. You’ll need to provide details like location, property type, size, price, photos, and ownership documents. Once verified, your property will go live on the website.

Currently, PropSearchBD.com does not charge a listing fee. We work on a commission-based model, where we receive a percentage of the sale price only after a successful transaction. This ensures you don’t pay anything upfront.

The selling time depends on several factors — location, pricing, market demand, and property condition. On average, well-priced and properly advertised properties take 2–8 weeks to sell. Our team helps promote your property to attract serious buyers quickly.

While not mandatory, we highly recommend using a real estate lawyer to ensure a safe and legally sound transaction. Our platform can also connect you with trusted legal partners and agents for documentation, buyer negotiations, and deed transfers.

You typically need the following:

  • Original title deed

  • Updated land tax receipt

  • NID/passport copy

  • Mutation/khatiyan documents

  • Power of attorney (if applicable)

We verify all listings before publishing to maintain transparency and trust on the platform.

Question about renting

You can browse our rental listings by selecting the “Rent” filter on our homepage. Use additional filters like location, price range, property type (apartment, house, commercial), and number of bedrooms to narrow down your search. Each listing includes verified information, photos, and contact details.

To rent a property, landlords or agencies usually require:

  • Copy of NID or Passport

  • Proof of income or employment (Optional)

  • Recent photograph

  • Security deposit (typically 1-3 months’ rent)

  • Signed tenancy agreement

Some properties may require a guarantor or employer reference.

Usually, the tenant is responsible for minor daily maintenance (light bulbs, cleaning, etc.), while the landlord handles structural repairs, plumbing, and major issues unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement. Always review your agreement carefully before signing.

No, tenants don’t pay any commission on PropSearchBD.com. We work directly with verified property owners and builders, and any brokerage fee (if applicable) is usually covered by the landlord or seller.

Yes, in most cases, rent and contract terms are negotiable in Bangladesh. We recommend having a clear discussion with the landlord before finalizing the deal. Our platform or assigned property agent can assist you in the negotiation process if needed.
